At Rust Republic, we’re passionate about Classic Cars full stop and enjoy working on all marques.
From Alfa to Zastava, we’ve been lucky enough so work on some fantastic cars and make ready for their owners to enjoy.
We have established a great network of contacts to support us in the acquisition of those hard to find items and regularly ship items in from all over mainland Europe to get the job done.
This includes technical information to get those all important settings, measurements and procedures to ensure the work is completed to manufacturer specifications.
This fabulous 1974 built Citroën CX2000 came to us for a full respray and some new panels after sitting dormant in a garage in the South of France for 35 years. Amazingly, the vehicle was structurally perfect and need no welding whatsoever but engine, glass and panels were all removed to ensure the perfect finish was achieved.
The CX was completed just in time to attend the 100 Years of Citroën event in June 2019 and then won Best 1970’s car at the Really Retro Show the following month. As the earliest example of a CX in the UK, it was also chosen for the Citroën Car Club’s 100 year display at the NEC Classic Car Show later that year.
